Questions
Which stocks can I add in the portfolio builder?
Only stocks that passed this site's Shariah screening. Stocks rated FAIL are excluded automatically and cannot be added. Each stock card links to its full screener page with the ratio math.
Is the portfolio builder financial advice?
No. It is an educational modelling tool. It shows what your chosen sector allocation and stock picks imply — weights, concentration, and drift — but it does not recommend buying or selling anything.
How does weighting work?
You set a target percentage per sector (totalling 100%). Within each sector, split evenly across your chosen stocks or set custom weights per stock. The review step converts everything into target dollar amounts for a portfolio value you set.
What does the rebalance view show?
Enter the current dollar value you hold in each stock and the tool compares it against your target allocation, showing the dollar drift per holding and the buys or sells that would bring the portfolio back to target. It places no trades.
How do I handle purification for dividends?
Even halal-screened stocks can pay small amounts of non-compliant income. Use the purification calculator to estimate the amount to purify from dividends, and check each stock's screener page for its non-compliant income figure.
